When in a fight with the Ender dragon the Slow falling potion can be a lifesaver, as you have to destroy the End Crystal as they are placed on a high-altitude tower. These can also be used in the End cities.
Let’s start by understanding the Pros and Cons of the Potion of Slow Falling.
What is a Potion of Slow Falling
Potion of Slow Falling: The purpose of this potion is to grant you the ability to fall slower than usual. The Potion of Slow Falling is mainly used in the End DImension and the End Cities.
The Potion of Slow Falling is essential during the fight against the Ender Dragon and in the End Cities where Shulkers reside. As you may already know, defeating the Ender Dragon requires destroying all the End crystals, and the Levitation effect caused by Shulkers’ attacks can make this task incredibly challenging in the End City.
The Potion of Slow Falling can help you avoid fall damage and move around easily, making it an invaluable tool in these situations.
Potion of Slow Falling also allows you to walk on your crops without destroying them.
Usually, the Potion of Slow Falling lasts 1 min 30 seconds but by adding Redstone Dust you can increase the timing to 3 to 4 min. Always try to make the splash version of the Potions so you can use the splash potion in emergencies without wasting time.
Slash Potion means to throw the potion on the ground and use it.
You can create a splash version of any potion just by adding Gunpowder to it. You can obtain Gunpowder from the Creepers.
Ingredients to Make Slow Falling Potion in Minecraft
The ingredients required to make Slow Falling Potion are:-
- Brewing Stand
- Water Bottle
- Nether Warts
- Blaze Powder
- Phantom Membrane
- Redstone Dust
Brewing Stand: You don’t have to search it anywhere all you need is just three Cobblestones and a Blaze Rod. You can obtain cobblestones just by mining below the dirt but for the Blaze Rod you have to search for the mobs ( Blazes ) which you’ll only get to see in Nether Fortress which can be a little tricky task.
Blaze Powders work as fuel in the mechanism of the Brewing stand.
But by using the command, /locate monument: Nether Fortress.
Water Bottle: You can easily craft the glass bottle on the crafting table. All you need is just 3 Glass blocks. You can easily obtain the glass blocks by burning the Sand blocks in the Furnace or Blast Furnace.
Nether Warts: You can find Nether Warts easily in the Nether Monuments like Nether Fortress and Bastion Remnants. The only problem is to find the Nether Monuments. These are generated naturally on Soul Sands in the Nether Monuments.
You can also harvest them with your own, just bring the soul sand and some nether warts from the Nether and plant them to avoid traveling from OverWorld to the Nether.
Phantom Membrane: This ingredient can only be obtained from the (Hostile Mobs) Phantoms. These are the mobs that attack when you don’t have slept for three in-game days.
Try to kill those Phantoms from the Sword with the Enchantment Looting III, if you kill them with the sword with the enchantment of Looting III then they will drop Phantom Membranes more than usual.
Redstone Dust: Redstone dust is easy to locate. As you can find them normally by Mining. Just like the other mineral resources ( Iron, copper, and Coal), Redstone is easy to find.
Gunpowder: You can easily obtain this material by killing the creepers. You can find the creeper just by roaming in the Night-time or the Caves.
Make sure to use the Shield while killing the creeper as they explode themselves to damage you and if you do not have proper armor then you will die absolutely.
Note: In Java Edition, you can use the alternatives of cobblestones like Blackstone and Cobbled Deep Slate to craft a brewing Stand. While the other side, In Bedrock Edition you can't use any alternative of Cobblestone. For Example: In Bedrock Edition, you can only craft the Brewing stand from Cobblestones.
